We are a Sudanese human rights organization based in Norway, working to document violations, raise awareness, support humanitarian initiatives, and empower the Sudanese community. We believe in institutional work and in our responsibility toward Sudanese people everywhere.

Our work focuses on key areas including documentation, awareness‑raising, advocacy, campaigns, and humanitarian support, while emphasizing the importance of unity among Sudanese communities as a foundation for peace and development.

We aim to build a professional platform that protects rights, strengthens solidarity, and supports Sudanese‑led efforts for peace and justice. This direction guides our long‑term vision and the strategic steps we are developing for more organized and sustainable work.

Sudanese Human Rights Activists is an independent, non‑governmental organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the human rights of all people in Sudan. We work to amplify the voices of those who are silenced, document violations, and advocate for accountability.
Our work combines rigorous research, evidence‑based advocacy, and targeted awareness raising is designed to empower marginalized communities, women, youth, and children.
Through active monitoring, data collection, awareness‑raising, and legal advocacy, we strive to build a stronger, more informed human rights movement.
Based in Norway, we have had the unique opportunity to engage with nearly all Norwegian organizations operating in Sudan. This exposure has shown us the value of coordinated, transparent cooperation. Our interim goal is to draw on these experiences to help establish a resilient Sudanese human rights network – connecting organizations inside Sudan and across the diaspora.
Today, Sudanese human rights groups often work in isolation, with limited communication and coordination. This fragmentation leads to duplicated efforts, lost time, and unnecessary strain on already limited resources.
Creating a unified network or forum will significantly strengthen collective impact, improve information‑sharing, and enhance the protection of human rights for Sudanese people everywhere.

Our New Strategy

We are launching our new strategy in response to the immense suffering and the widening human rights gap created by the war in Sudan.
